LIBR 101: Information Research Skills
This is a great opportunity for students to gain a complete overview of evidence-based medicine research methods and search tools.
The course provides not only 3 units of transferable credit to CSU and UC, but RNs also receive 45 contact hours toward their license renewal.

Med Surg RN Certification
A med-surg review course to prepare for October's CMSRN exam will be offered in August at Sutter. It is being held over 2 sessions on Mondays September 12 & 19th.
The AMSN local chapter plans to sponsor the exam in Santa Rosa again for this October's exam.

RN-to-BSN Degree Program, Fall 2007
In Fall 2007, California State University , Fullerton , will commence a third cohort of the RN-to-BSN Degree Program, in cooperation with the Distance Learning Program of Patient Care Services, Kaiser Permanente. Classes will use a combination of videoconference, online, and local clinical content.
Current Kaiser Permanente locations being considered for this program include: LA Sunset, Fontana, Riverside, Union City and Walnut Creek.
We are also considering holding the program at the following sites, if enough people apply for the program: Anaheim, Fresno, Harbor City/SCA South Bay, Sacramento, San Diego, and South San Francisco.

Fetal Heart Monitoring Module Now Online!
The Educational Component covers important topics such as: The Maternal and Fetal Physiology as it relates to Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring (FHR), the pattern Elements and Tools used to assess the Fetus, NICHD Language and the recommended Plan of Care associated with variant FHR patterns.
