Reason for research: The application of research in the clinical setting takes nursing to the next level. Using evidence to validate and improve the care we provide to clients is at the heart of nursing professionalism. Nurses have long been revered as trusted professionals who are skilled in the art of caring, but I feel that caring also requires a strong scientific knowledge base, a spirit of inquiry, and a passion for problem solving.
