The Dance
Jonathon W Gietzen, MS, PA-C
Our eyes met as soon as I entered the room.
Her head tilted up with a look of expectancy.
She was older than me by more than a few years but I
Thought she should have a few more dances left in her.
I sat down a few feet away as we made small talk.
I could see the apprehension fade from her
face as she warmed to my interest in her.
Finally the moment arrived when I needed to
screw up my courage to make the next move.
No matter how many times I’d done this before, there was
no way of knowing if she would ultimately accept my offer.
So throwing caution to the winds I pushed onward.
So . . . Mrs Jones, how can I help you today?
