| Applications
will be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of the Curriculum
Coordinator, Clinical Faculty, current Fellows, Chiefs of Service
and Department Administrators of the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles
and West Los Angeles Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Departments.
The
applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Education
- Post
graduate training
- Clinical
experience in orthopaedic physical therapy
- Teaching
experience
- Research
experience
- Community

Minimal
eligibility requirements for acceptance into the program include:
- Licensure
as a Physical Therapist by the Physical Therapy Board of California
- Comply
with all Kaiser Permanente employment requirements
Desirable
applicants include those who...
- Have
completed a clinical residency in orthopaedic physical therapy
- Have
attained Board Certification as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic
Physical TherapyPossess
superior verbal and written communication skillsHave
experience with being a clinical supervisor of physical therapists
and physical therapy internsHave
experience in data collection, analysis, and publication
- Have
participated in activities that have positively addressed a
need in the community
The
application deadline is August 1st of each year.
Superior
candidates will be selected for an interview and evaluation of basic
clinical competencies with members of the selection committee. Notification
of applicants who gain admission to the program will be made by
October 15th of each year.
