Doing Business With Kaiser Permanente
A few tips on the process
- Suppliers register through the online registration site.
- Suppliers will receive an acknowledgement notice.
- National Supplier Diversity staff is notified of procurement opportunities from sourcing managers or buyers, referred to as "purchasers".
- National Supplier Diversity staff searches the supplier database for small, minority and women-owned businesses that can potentially provide the products and services the contract requires and forwards supplier contact information on to the purchaser.
- After referrals are made, purchasers manage the contract and purchasing process and are responsible for contacting selected suppliers for further information and bid notification.
- Use our standard Supplier Information Template to inform us about your capabilities. It will help us refer your company to our purchasers.
- Suppliers should update supplier information online every two years or sooner if significant changes in business data occur (e.g. contact information, business structure, products/services, certifications and references).
- National Supplier Diversity works proactively to provide maximum practical opportunity.
- Although having your business data in our supplier database does not guarantee that you will be contacted for business opportunities, it is a necessary step in our process and will increase the likelihood of being considered for a contract.
Additionally, a benefit to registering is that you have the National Supplier Diversity as your advocate and we occasionally invite segments of our registered supplier database to supplier outreach events and forums.
