One out of four adult women are victims of domestic violence at some point in their lifetimes; men can be victims as well. Domestic violence affects people of all ages, racial groups, cultures, religions, sexual orientations, educational backgrounds, and income levels. Kaiser Permanente understands the devastating effects of domestic violence in the home, in the workplace and in society. We care about the safety of all our employees, staff and physicians, as well as our members.

The following stories are from the People of Kaiser Permanente, using their own words. (Photographs for this display are not of the actual employees whose stories have been told.) Please read our brochures to learn more about domestic violence and what resources are available to help. If you are, or have been the victim of domestic violence, you are not alone.
