Northern California ETP company was awarded the 2010 Multicultural Award
In recognition of their success in promoting diversity, the Northern California ETP company was awarded the 2010 Multicultural Award by the California Educational Theatre Association.
ETP wins 2009 AAHE Distinguished Service to Health Education Award
Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Program is the recipient of the 2009 American Association for Health Education’s (AAHE) Distinguished Service to Health Education Award. The award goes to an individual or organization outside the health education profession making an outstanding contribution and a national impact on health education.

Kaiser Permanente’s ‘The Amazing Food Detective’ Premieres On Maui
Kaiser Permanente News Center – “The Amazing Food Detective,” an interactive educational performance presented by Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Program, visited Maui for the first time this week to deliver performances at Kahului, Kihei, Princess Nahi‘ena‘ena and Waihee Elementary schools.
September: National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month
In early September 2012 President Barack Obama proclaimed September 2012 as National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, encouraging all Americans to learn about and engage in activities that promote healthy eating and greater physical activity by all our nation's children.

Poll shows support for soda tax to fight obesity
SFGate – Kaiser Permanente medical expertise and community benefit efforts aimed at reducing childhood obesity were cited in a San Francisco Chronicle article today about a recently released statewide California Field Poll. The gist of the poll is that an increasing number of Californians see childhood obesity as a major problem and want it fought on several fronts. And many are willing to be taxed to help the fight.

Food detective makes rounds at Sue Buel
Yamhill Valley News Register – Working on behalf of the stomach, the brain and the heart, the Amazing Food Detective tracked down several sedentary snack-loving suspects and showed them the error of their ways Thursday in a presentation at Sue Buel Elementary School.
