Kaiser Permanente Opens New Medical Office In Holly Springs

ATLANTA — Kaiser Permanente has opened its first medical office in Cherokee County, part of its ongoing effort to make access to health care more convenient for metro Atlanta residents.

The facility, which spans 6,400 square feet, is in Suite 275 of the Northside Hospital complex at 684 Sixes Road in Holly Springs. This is the fourth medical office to open as part of Kaiser Permanente’s expansion program. Within in the past nine months, new facilities have opened in Lawrenceville, East Cobb and Downtown Decatur.

“This medical office will allow us to better serve our growing Kaiser Permanente membership in and around Cherokee County,” said Peter Andruszkiewicz, president of Kaiser Permanente Georgia. “We look forward to providing quality, affordable health care to residents of this community for many years to come.”

The Holly Springs location brings to 23 the number of Kaiser Permanente medical offices in the organization’s 28-county service area. Kaiser Permanente owns or leases more than one million square feet of building space in metro Atlanta. The organization invested nearly $2 million in interior construction, furniture, and medical and IT equipment for its Holly Springs Medical Office.

“Cherokee County residents have grown to expect quality services, such as healthcare, to be available here in the community. Kaiser Permanente’s expansion into Cherokee County will enhance the array of services currently offered,” said Mark Goddard, Cobb EMC & Cherokee County Chamber Board Chair. “The expansion is also a testament to Kaiser Permanente’s leadership for viewing Cherokee County as a viable place in which to conduct business.”

The Holly Springs Medical Office employs 20 health care professionals and includes exam and procedure rooms, a laboratory, a pharmacy and basic radiology services. There are six physicians from The Southeast Permanente Medical Group on staff:

  • Managing Physician: Kenneth Giardina, MD
  • Internal Medicine: Aparna Seth, MD
  • Pediatrics: Donte Adam, MD, Anabelle Monroe, MD and Carolyn Williams, MD
  • Ob/Gyn: Ernest Moreland, MD

“The City of Holly Springs is honored to have Kaiser Permanente joining our business community,” said Mayor Timothy B. Downing. “Kaiser Permanente is recognized nationally as a premier health care and wellness provider with an outstanding reputation only matched by their generosity in the community. The City Council and I are not only thrilled about the decision by Kaiser Permanente to locate in the City of Holly Springs, but we look forward to an extended and fruitful partnership.”

In honor of the grand opening of the Holly Springs Medical Office, Kaiser Permanente showed its commitment to improving the health of the communities it serves by donating $10,000 to Cherokee FOCUS. The civic organization will use the funds to establish the Live Healthy Cherokee Coalition, which will focus on addressing childhood obesity issues in the county.
