Kaiser Permanente to Open Medical Office in Downtown Atlanta

GEORGIA EXPANSION INITIATIVE

ATLANTA — Downtown Atlanta is home to Kaiser Permanente of Georgia’s newest addition, the Peachtree Center Medical Office. Located at 225 Peachtree St., NE, Suite C-08, the $2.3 million facility will welcome patients starting April 14. It is the 11th medical office to open as part of Kaiser Permanente’s ongoing expansion in metro Atlanta.

“Bringing Kaiser Permanente to Peachtree Center provides our members who live and work in Downtown Atlanta with more convenient access to our services,” explained Peter Andruszkiewicz, president of Kaiser Permanente of Georgia. “Our goal is to ultimately have all of our members within a 20-minute drive of a Kaiser Permanente medical office.”

Staffed by physicians of the Southeast Permanente Medical Group, the Peachtree Center Medical Office will employ six health care professionals and offer adult medicine, dermatology and cosmetic dermatology to Kaiser Permanente members. Additional specialties may be added. The 3,900-square-foot medical office will include exam and procedure rooms, a laboratory and an on-site pharmacy.

Kaiser Permanente invested $2.3 million in interior construction, furniture and medical and IT equipment to create a unique total health environment that nurtures the mind, body and spirit in sickness and in health. Since late 2009, Kaiser Permanente Georgia has opened new medical offices in Fayetteville, Newnan, Conyers, Snellville, Douglasville, West Marietta, Holly Springs, Lawrenceville, downtown Decatur and East Cobb. The addition of the Peachtree Center Medical Office will bring to 28 the number of Kaiser Permanente facilities in its 28-county service area. The organization owns or leases more than one million square feet of building space in metro Atlanta.
