List of 2012 Peer-Selected ‘Top Doctors’ highlighted in March Issue

ROCKVILLE, Md. — Kaiser Permanente announced today that 53 Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group physicians were recognized as “Top Doctors” by Washingtonian Magazine in its March 2012 issue.

Washingtonian Magazine

The annual “Top Doctors” list represents the Washington Metropolitan area’s best physicians chosen by their peers. This year, Washingtonian Magazine sent questionnaires to 7,000 randomly selected local physicians asking them to which physicians they would personally refer their own family members. Over 1,300 local physicians responded to the questionnaire.

“Being recognized as one of the Washington Metro area’s top physicians is truly an honor,” said Farzaneh Sabi, MD, Ob/Gyn provider and assistant physician in chief for District of Columbia and Suburban Maryland, Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. “The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group is committed to always delivering superior care to our members. I’m proud to be among the 1,000 Permanente expert physicians and care providers in the Mid-Atlantic region offering Kaiser Permanente members high-quality care that is both accessible and convenient.”

Among the 40 medical specialties reported in Washingtonian Magazine’s 2012 list, the 53 Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group physicians named “Top Doctors” represent a broad range of specialties including allergy, dermatology, internal medicine, Ob/Gyn and pediatrics.
